Dr.Geetha Plackal is an early career Marine Scientist from Kerala, India. She is working as Director, Ocean Health and India Operations at World Alliance for Planetary Health, USA, Environmental Director at Ocean Integrity, Climate Reality Leader at Climate Reality Corps, Ambassador at Remtech Europe, Island Innovation Ambassador, Key Associate for Asia & Beyond at AnEcoscape, USA. Member at INSOP (International Network on Soil Pollution), FAO and member at Global Soil Laboratory Network (GLOSOLAN), FAO, Working group member (WG-2) at International Network on Soil Biodiversity (NETSOB) by FAO. Membership in more than 25 national and international organisations related with environment.p

An active participant in environmental awareness talks and activities via different social sites and other platforms for teaching and inspire everyone to build a sustainable future of earth and biodiversity. She is working against plastic pollution and supporting sustainable projects for conservation of nature and natural resources.

She completed more than 23 online courses related with environment and ocean conservation, climate change and sustainability, ESG etc. from different institutions around the world.
Passion: Her research area is Marine and Estuarine Benthic Taxonomy and Community Ecology. She is very passionate in research on Ocean and biodiversity conservation. She is working in such projects for more than ten years. She is an Ocean Advocate and an active participant in environmental conservation activities via Social sites and other platforms for a sustainable future of earth and biodiversity. She published articles in some reputed journals. Some of her talks were published via YouTube on plastic pollution and some talks broadcasted in Radio (USA) regarding the current environmental issues such as climate change and marine dead zones. She featured in some nature related websites from USA and interviewed and featured for websites of several organizations from other nations.
