About me
Albert Momo is the Co-Founder and CEO of GeoDEV International, a geospatial consulting firm dedicated to empowering emerging countries with innovative solutions for sustainable development and efficient resource management. For six years he was Vice President and Executive Director at Trimble, in charge of the emerging markets and funded projects. In this role, Albert was at the forefront of Trimble’s international expansion, pursuing projects financed by multilateral development banks, intergovernmental organizations, bilateral development organizations, export credit agencies, private companies, and local governments in emerging countries.Albert is also:• Member of the Applied Sciences Advisory Committee (ASAC) of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).• Chair of the Board of Directors of the Cadasta Foundation.• Co-Chair of the International Advisory Committee of the United Nations Global Geodetic Centre of Excellence (UN-GGCE).• Former Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee of the World Geospatial Industry Council (WGIC).• Former Member of the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Committee of the World Geospatial Industry Council (WGIC).• Member of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM).• Former Chair of the Trimble Foundation.Albert is the author of four books: Réflexions d'un pipo (French), Leadership quotes for all circumstances (English), Geospatial to the rescue (English), and Leadership Lessons from African Cultures: A Journey of Wisdom and Resilience.
