About me
Kate is an award-winning entrepreneurial senior leader with over 20 years of experience in digital healthcare and innovation.
Kate is COO and board director of Kooth, a globally leading youth digital mental healthcare provider. Kooth delivers upstream population-health-based mental health support, removing barriers to access to reduce health inequality, and supporting millions of children, young people and adults across the US and UK. Kooth are working closely with government partners to develop sustainable and ethical approaches to AI deployment in mental health, considering how best to leverage this opportunity to shape and target care at communities in greatest need, whilst being mindful of the risks and concerns associated with AI in healthcare.
She is also an advisor and investor in health tech start-ups, a board member of Europe’s largest oral care organisation and has advised the UK government as part of the Secretary of State’s Healthtech advisory board. Prior to Kooth, Kate was CEO of Blenheim Chalcot, the UK’s largest venture builder, supporting ventures from start-up to scale to exit. Formerly, Kate was founding team member and CEO of Doctor Care Anywhere, a global digital healthcare company enabling people to take control of their health through remote access to healthcare professionals and health management tools. Before that, as a Strategy Consultant, notably at Roland Berger and BDO, she built expertise in digital delivery of services specialising in health and local government sectors.
Kate won Disruptor of the Year at First Woman Awards, 2016 and Innovator of the Year at Everywoman Women in Technology awards, 2017. In 2019, she was placed in the 100 Most Influential in UK India Relations. In 2021, Kate made the #womentowatch2021 Cranfield University list. She is also a CMI Companion and holds CMgr CCMI status.
