About me
Aminda Smith is Co-Director of the Center for Gender in Global Context at Michigan State University. She oversees the Women’s and Gender Studies academic programs and facilitates outreach and engagement related to gender equity within the university and beyond. Her research explores the intersections of gender, policy, and social movements in China. She earned her PhD from Princeton University in 2006, after which she joined the faculty at MSU. She had since also held a variety of positions in academic publishing and higher education administration.
