He is the founder of AfroSaúde, a healthtech company that connects patients with black health and wellness professionals across Brazil. Arthur’s interest in education and science led him to pursue a master’s degree in Health, Environment, and Work, researching quality of life and mental health in the workplace. AfroSaúde boasts a network of over 2,000 specialists who offer benefits and mental health programs through a digital health platform. In 2023, AfroSaúde helped generate approximately 9,000 BRL for professionals on the platform, and significantly enhanced access to professionals who understand the role of race in healthcare, particularly in mental healthcare. Arthur has been recognized as a 2020 Forbes 30 Under 30, MIPAD 100 — Most Influential People of African Descent in 2020 and 2023, 2023 LinkedIn Top Voice, and 2024 MIT Innovators Under 35. He also participated in the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative, the U.S. Department of State's leadership and entrepreneurship program. Arthur is currently a Ph.D. student researching the work ability of people with sickle cell disease. He is dedicated to using social entrepreneurship, technology, and scientific research to reduce health inequities.
