Dr. Nidhi Leekha is an Assistant Professor and Section Head of Ultrasound at Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi, where she leads the ultrasound department and is deeply committed to teaching and mentoring radiology residents. With a passion for ultrasound education and innovation, Dr. Leekha is dedicated to advancing imaging technology in healthcare, especially in resource-limited settings. Her academic interests focus on making imaging technologies more accessible, training healthcare professionals, and integrating new technological advances with traditional imaging methods.Dr. Leekha is actively involved in research, particularly in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) to point-of-care ultrasound, with the goal of improving diagnostic accuracy and accessibility. She has shared her research at various international conferences and plays a significant role in ultrasound education. Dr. Leekha is the chairwoman of the Kenya Society of Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology (KESUMB) and is a key member of the Education and Congress Committees of the World Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB), where she contributes to the global development of ultrasound practice and education.
