About me
Dr. Peprah is an Associate Professor at NYU School of Global Public Health where he leads the Implementing Sustainable Evidence-based interventions through Engagement (ISEE) Lab. His research focuses on understanding the contextual factors affecting the adoption of evidence-based interventions (EBIs) for conditions like sickle cell disease (SCD), HIV/AIDS, and obstetric hemorrhage (OH) in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). He emphasizes sustainable, culturally sensitive strategies to address health challenges, particularly non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and maternal health.
Dr. Peprah collaborates with multidisciplinary teams globally to implement scalable solutions for NCD management and improve healthcare delivery in resource-constrained settings. His work on SCD and OH integrates implementation research to bridge the gap between evidence and practice. Additionally, his research explores the intersection of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and HIV care, aiming to enhance health outcomes for people living with HIV/AIDS in Africa.
Before joining NYU, Dr. Peprah was a senior program official at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where he contributed to global health initiatives, including the H3Africa Initiative and HIV/AIDS programs.
