FrankBiermann is a Research Professor of Global Sustainability Governance at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University, The Netherlands. He is the founder and inaugural chair of the Earth System Governance research alliance, a long-standing global transdisciplinary network of over 700 social scientists. Currently, Biermann directs GLOBALGOALS, a 2.5 million EUR project on the impacts of the Sustainable Development Goals, funded by an Advanced Grant from the European Research Council.
