Fadzai Munedzimwe is a Research Manager at the Aurum Institute, overseeing public health research projects. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Rhodes University and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Cape Town. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Public Health at the University of Witwatersrand, focusing on TB treatment adherence and post-TB lung health outcomes. With seven years of experience in public health and clinical trials, Fadzai began her career as a research pharmacist working on HIV and TB treatment and prevention trials. She later advanced to a project manager role, where she has been instrumental in conceptualizing research projects, managing them, and engaging in report writing, manuscript preparation, and grant applications. Her responsibilities also include project monitoring and evaluation, data collection and analysis, and collaboration with local and international stakeholders. Presently, Fadzai coordinates notable projects such as the TB-Sequel project, a multi-country study on the long-term effects of pulmonary TB, and the NAC PTLD trial, a multi-country confirmatory trial investigating the use of adjunctive N-acetylcysteine in preventing and treating post-TB lung disease.
