About me
Hi there! My name is Jana Abu-Alhaija, and I’m currently a Canadian undergraduate student focused on addressing the challenges that marginalized communities face. Much of my undergraduate career has been dedicated to neurobiological research, and I’m in the process of getting published for my work on Type-II Diabetes in insulin-resistant rat models. I’ve also researched genomic disorders at one of Canada’s leading research hospitals and am working on launching a non-profit initiative to support marginalized students in my local community. Outside of academics, I have a passion for jewelry and fashion and often spend my free time searching for vintage, second-hand pieces to collect.
