About me
Aawatif Hayar is the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration, and Family of Morocco. She was President of Hassan II University Casablanca 2019-2021. Since 2016, she has served as the Scientific Advisor of Smart City Casablanca event and in 2019 as General Co-Chair of IEEE international Smart Cities Conference. Since 2011, she is professor at University Hassan II Casablanca. She is also a member of the Casablanca “Avant-garde” City think tank. She was also selected by the African Innovation Foundation as one of the top ten innovative African women in 2015. She was the first Moroccan to receive the degree of “Agrégation” in Electrical Engineering with honors from ENS Cachan France in 1992. She received a “Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies” in signal processing image and communications and a degree in Engineering in Telecommunications Systems and Networks from ENSEEIHT Toulouse in 1997. She earned her PhD with honors from Institut National Polytechnique in Toulouse in 2001.
