Dr. Pulane Hannah Koosaletse-Mswela is an Environmental quality professional who is a microbiologist by training. Currently, she is a lecturer at the University of Botswana and her research activities include Environmental quality and pollution Control with special emphasis on water and waste management. Dr Pulane is passionate about women in science and was Co-Principal Investigator in a NASAC-IAP capacity-building programme on Advancing women's participation in science communication in Botswana. She is also part of Fast4future (Focus on African Space Science and Technology for Future Development) aimed at Capacity Building in Higher Education where she is a member of of the Gender Issues & Disadvantaged Groups Committee (GIDGC). Dr Pulane is a board member of the Botswana Academy of Sciences (BAS), serving as the Secretary-General and also serves as the inaugural Vice Chair of the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World; the Botswana Chapter (OWSD-Botswana Chapter). She is a graduate of the AAP African Futures Research Leadership program that aims to build the capacity of early career women researchers from Africa.
