About me
Nina Goyal is a researcher in high school looking to inspire a change in the world of agriculture by providing clean, economically sound alternatives. She has been conducting research with the United States Department of Agriculture for several years now on using double-stranded RNA and antisense oligonucleotides as a highly-specific, highly-degradable, environmentally-friendly way of controlling weeds and pests. She has been recognized nationally for her research and has won several state awards for this as well. She is also heavily involved in music and community service. She is launching a non-for-profit to teach elementary school students the basics of music theory and singing free-of-charge. She hopes to instill a love of music in each of these students. She has also been selected for the Florida Music Education Association All-State for the past four years. This year, she has been selected to the reading choir, which is the most prestigious high-school choir.
