About me
Rachael Umazi is a Geomatics expert, with over 10 years of diverse experience in Geodesy, Land Surveying and GIS. Rachael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geomatic Engineering and Geospatial Information Systems from the Jomo Kenyatta University and Technology (JKUAT) in Kenya. She currently serves as the Principal Surveyor at the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD). Notably, Rachael has been championing the African Geodetic Reference Frame (AFREF) initiative by organizing and conducting annual capacity building workshops at RCMRD in Nairobi, Kenya. She also offers advisory on Implementation of Geodetic networks in RCMRD’s member states.
