About me
Nigel Rollins trained as a pediatrician at Queen’s University, in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He completed his doctoral research in Tanzania before moving to South Africa to work as Professor and Head of the Center for Maternal and Child Health at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban. There, his work focused on diarrheal disease, malnutrition, and HIV. In 2008, he joined the WHO’s Department of Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health where he is a member of the Research and Guideline Development team in the Department of Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health and Aging. Dr. Rollins’ work includes facilitating implementation research by building intervention programs and measuring their benefits to children, their mothers, and their families. He also serves on the WHO ethics review committee.
