Dr. Vera Serwaa Opoku is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Kumai Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR-KNUST), Kumasi-Ghana specializing in infectious diseases, with a particular focus on the genetics and molecular biology of neglected tropical diseases. She earned her PhD in Clinical Microbiology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where she conducted pioneering research on the genetic factors influencing lymphatic filariasis. She has contributed to several high-impact publications and actively participates in international scientific conferences. Dr. Opoku is committed to advancing global health through collaborative research.
